352Skiing Reductions Are to Be Found Thanks to the Financial Crisis

With the pound fetching less than the euro at Travelex, you would believe there would be many excellent ski bargains to be booked in skiing resorts this winter as snowboarders remain back home to beat the crunch. Early numbers just now publicised point to the fact that ski towns are 88 percent booked over the Xmas time period. 15 percent higher than the same time period last season.
One will have some chance in the new year that at the moment shows a 34 percent reservation level. The signs of a recession is across the significant school holiday month which has 65 % bookings, 1 percent lower than last season. Information centers in the resorts of Flegere, Les Menuires, Savoie and Avoriaz have seen strong bookings in Dec encouraged by the good early winter snows. Plateau de Beille has higher bookings in comparison to last year, and Grand Massif had a grand New Year as did Alps Chamonix.
However there is strong demand for larger self catering chalets, 5 to 12 beds, as people group-up to save money. Evidence highlights that do it yourself snowboarding trips are holding up, perhaps pointing to the fact that serious boarders will not give up their ski trip to the mountains. Inquiries from package holidays are down.
